Jubilee Celebrations Part 2

Just a few more images to share (courtesy of the BBC!) from a memorable weekend of celebrations

The Red Arrows

Concert stage in front of Buckingham Palace

Robbie!

Cliff!

Alfie!!! (just gorgeous!)

lets have another of Alfie.........isn't he just, well, YUM!!!
(and reminds me of Mr G when I first met him, sigh.......what happened Mr G?!!!)

Lenny!!!!

Tom!!! Looking good!

Robbie crooning......

And of course good old Rolf!

Sadly at this point my camera memory was full so I had to just settle down like normal folk and watch the TV without viewing it through a lens........

But for those who missed the concert, there was a grand all star line up which included, amongst others, Sir Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Shirley Bassey, Annie Lennox, Sir Paul McCartney, Madness and Kylie - she could have have dressed up a bit for the occasion and worn a dress!

I'll leave you with a couple of images that came out with rather odd effects.....

The Queen superimposed on Prince William!

That's what comes of taking photos of the TV I guess!

I'll be announcing the winner of the Diamond Jubilee shortly - so watch this space!

  1. Thanks you for sharing your wonderful celebration. I don't have cable/satellite so I get very little programming but I did see highlights on the news. What a wonderful celebration! I loved the jets with the red white and blue. I'd never seen that before and of course the Royal Family and The Queen....she's looking good!

  4. I hate to say this, to all those ardent Robbie fans, but the lad reminds me of a very young Norman Wisdom!
But the concert was great ... well the parts wherein some people could actually sing, such as Alfie and Renee!

  5. Hi Gill, it was a good night wasn't it? No pictures of Tom, I thought he stole the show. I am sure Mr. J is still lovely.
    Love Linda x

  7. Well... I think Prince William looks rather gorgeous in his bright green outfit! SEXYYY!!!!!!!!!

Talking about which: Robbie, like Liam Gallagher is a stage animal: he just has to stand on a stage, to own it.

I rather love Will.iam. I love his music, I love him... I love everything about him.

Sir Paul was looking rather tired, poor old Sir Elton wasn't at his best, and Tom Jones was superb! I think Sir Paul should have a little face lift, too, but I adore him, just the way he is...

The concert was great and it made me feel really proud to be British!

    CIAO... BUONA SERATA...
