It's Giveaway Time (Finally.....) !!!

Hello Everyone!

It seems an age since I last posted, but I see it's just a week ago.
How time flies!!!

I do hope all is well with you all, my lovely friends in Blogland!
I have missed you as I have not been blog hopping since last week, so once more I am in arrears with my visiting.

I shall look forward to catching up with you over the next few evenings.

I hope you will forgive me for my lack of posts and lack of comments on your blogs - to try and coax you into forgiveness I have a little incentive here - a rather overdue Giveaway in celebration of reaching 100 followers and as a Thankyou to you all!!!

The Giveaway is................

Either .............a Peg Apron made from vintage linen and hand embroidered in red with the word "Pegs"

Whoops! Mirror image!

The apron has long white cotton tape ties that makes the apron fit any size, and it can be worn tied behind or wrapped around and tied in front as below

It is made from a vintage Parkertex floral linen, with a large pocket in vintage natural linen.

I have hand embroidered the word "pegs" in red thread on an old piece of white cotton cut from a vintage tablecloth too damaged to use as such

In the middle of the apron there is a tape hanging loop which can be used to hang the apron with the pegs inside the pocket.

The large pocket is stitched at the top in the middle to prevent it falling open.
*
Or..........a vintage fabric covered Journal with integral bookmark - a choice of two journals.

Either a vintage striped fabric with cream lining

The Journal covers fit a standard A5 notebook so once you have finished the notebook that comes with the cover (60 plain pages ) you can replace it with a new one.

The journal is lined in cream cotton, and the bookmark is made from an East of India woven cotton ribbon with a vintage silk tassel attached at the bottom.

Or..... a vintage english floral linen (which matches the linen on the Peg Apron) with faded red homespun lining and blue gingham ribbon.

*
And...................a bookmark made from a cheerful red vintage French fabric with a vintage silk tassel.

To enter my Giveaway, all you need do is leave me a comment here on this post, saying which item you would like to win, either the Peg Apron, the Striped Journal or the Floral Journal.

For a second chance to win, click on my Giveaway button on my sidebar or at the beginning of this post, and add it to your sidebar, linking back to my blog, and leave a second comment here to say you have done so. Thats it.

Good Luck!!!

The Giveaway ends at the end of July (31st).

We've had a few courgettes and climbing french beans from  the garden

The last week has flown by for me, catching up on housework, gardening, coffee mornings with a few friends, decorating the study/bedroom, shopping and chauffering Bella around as she does her work experience in a Primary School.

One of the interesting things discovered by Bella is that the teachers here are terrible gossips!!!!

This surprised us, I don't know why - I guess I thought all you clever teachers out there were too lofty for gossip, too full of more important things like planning lessons and marking books and planning fun things for the kiddies to do to behave in an ordinary, gossipy kind of way like us other mere mortals!!!!

Maybe its just at this school???!!

Any teachers out there, is it true of you all?

Are you just normal gossips like the rest of us?

We need to know!!!

Hope you all had a great weekend, and I'm looking forward to catching up with you soon!

Don't forget to leave a comment to enter the Giveaway!

  1. Hello Gill:
What really very pretty, and useful, gifts which have so obviously been made with a great deal of thought and care. We are torn between them all but, if we were fortunate enough to win, then we should love the striped covered journal which would immediately replace our very worn, and rather full, 'interiors' notebook.

The flowers you show are especially appealing as we always consider that rather shocking cerise to be such agood foil to so many other colours.

  2. What a fabulous giveaway Gill.
If I were lucky enough to be chosen and I would be VERY lucky, I would LOVE to win the peg apron. It's a genuis idea, instead of chasing a bag around the washing line.
I hope Bella enjoys her work experience.
    Nice to have you back!
    Love

  3. Lovely giveaways and if I was fortunate to win the peg apron I would be a happy bunny. And yes speaking as an ex primary school teacher, isn't gossip the food of life?

  4. What a wonderful giveaway. If I were lucky enough to win I'd love the flowered journal, I just love stationery, and this stationery is gorgeous. Hope Bella is enjoying her work experience. I did mine in the primary school which I'd attended (many many moons ago) and some of the teachers who taught me were still there. I felt very naughty being in the staff room, it was totally out of bounds when I was a pupil there. Logan's hair is growing back, he's so cute.

  13. Hi Gill, well yes, most of the teachers I know are terrible gossips! When I entered teaching, much later in life I was shocked by their behavior. While it's not all teachers in all schools it makes you think. Bella's smart to recognize it now!

Your giveaway's are just beautiful. I'm going to "register" for the apron! It's so sweet! And congrats on 100 Followers!

The photos of the flowers are just lovely and how cute is Logan smacking his little pink tongue in that last photo!

  14. What a lovely giveaway! I'd love to enter, and if I was lucky enough to win, I'd choose the peg apron, as I currently have a metal bucket for pegs, and I'm always clunking my head on it! Your apron is a genius idea. Congratulations on clicking up more than 100 followers!

  18. What a lovely giveaway. I think my pick is the peg bag, the embroidery is so sweet. Yes, I think teachers are mere mortals and therefore enjoy a bit of a gossip :)

  19. Gill, I don't know how you can bear to part with any of these lovely things when you have put such a lot of work into making them.
They are all beautiful but the striped journal would be my choice as I was hankering after one on a craft stall at the Royal Highland but it was very expensive.
Enjoyed your pics and have done the link thingy!x

  20. Your garden is full of pretty flowers right now. I especially love the cosmos. Everything you make is beautiful and your giveaway prizes are no exception. I would be happy to win any of them. My favorite would be the English Floral Journal with the blue gingham bookmark. (If you are shipping overseas.) I think in general, people should think before they talk. If someone has entrusted you with personal information, you should do everything you can to keep it private.

  21. Hi. What a wonderful giveaway. They are all fabulous but my favourite has to be the striped journal. Fingers crossed that I win it.
As a teacher- yes we are all gossips and we are occasionally allowed out of school! I met one of my very young pupils in the supermarket and he was amazed as he obviously thought that I lived in school and never did " normal" things.
    Thanks
    Chrissie x

  26. Gossip? Me? Never! I just don't know what you mean (hem, hem)! I am a little intrigued, but going to make a stab at the gossip being targetted at the parents? Obviousy you can't share, but often what travels around the playgound usually ends up in the staffroom!
Gill, I adore the peg bag which you have lovingly embroidered and would be delighted to be entered in the giveaway for a chance to win it.
Hope Bella's enjoying her time in school, gossip and all!
