At least I can do some guilt free sewing as its pouring with rain outside.............a cushion for a friend's birthday present.
just loving this pretty fabric................I think I'll make some more for the shop.
Hope the weather is better where you are!
We have just had a storm but finally the rain is slowing down. The fabric is a sheer delight, its beautiful.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty.....yep certainly changed, I can't keep up! :) x
ReplyDeleteWe have 30 Celcious but it's too hot for me and I can't say I like it.Oh Gil, how many pretty things you make!!! I saw the previous post, amazing my friend, I'm envious of your talent and inspiration.

Such a beautiful cushion! You are on such a roll - I swear, I could easily see my bed stacked sky-high with all the lovely cushions you've been creating lately! Cxxx
ReplyDeleteIt is a good job that you are not giving that cushion to me - I think that both sides are so gorgeous I would spend all day turning it round trying to decide which side I liked best!!! I would have to commission you to make another one the other way round so that I could have both. Sadly I am currently forbidden from adding any more cushions to our house! I hope that you enjoyed making it and that your friend enjoys receiving it. xx
ReplyDeleteYou make the most gorgeous cushions Gill - I'm sure your friend will love this! Your choice of fabrics is so 'spot-on' and your sewing so professional I never tire of seeing them! Our weather is more rain then a bit of sunshine so the gardens and countryside have freshened up and grown beautifully. I like rainy days too when I can shut myself in among my fabrics and just enjoy them! xoJoy
ReplyDeleteThose cushions are so lovely. We are just entering Autumnal weather in Queensland. A bit different to English Autumn though as it's often still mid 20s in the daytime!
ReplyDeleteIt is very pretty & the back matches perfectly, you have a lucky friend.
ReplyDeleteOhhhh...what pretty fabric. I imagine your friend will love it
ReplyDeleteOh, I love the fabric, and the nice edge on the cusion! Such a lovely gift!

What a pretty little plump cushion, and the fabrics are lovely. Shame about the rain, but lucky for your friend. Have a smashing weekend, love Linda x
ReplyDeleteSewing always good on a rainy day.
ReplyDeleteMerle........
What a lovely present. Yes, the weather is better here, even though winter is only days away. xxx
ReplyDeleteWindy and sunny but I think we did have rain a few days ago - I did some guilt free pottery. But that's kind of wrong some how? I think I only want it to be sunny when I'm not busy! X cathy
ReplyDeleteI love it, the two fabrics go so well together. What a lovely gift. x
ReplyDeleteA lovely gift for your friend, the fabrics are very pretty and look gorgeous together. Hope you are having some sunshine this week!

It's been raining here for a week on and off....cozy and cool...I'm loving it as it can be very hot here. I love that fabric too and the stripe for the back...darling combination. Lucky friend!
ReplyDeleteThe cushion is beautiful, I'm sure your friend will love it. There's nothing I like more than stitching or sewing when the weather is horrible outside, it's so cosy :)
