I have got my eye on a couple of chairs to paint right now, as soon as I've done the garden bench and the two beehive composters...Hope you're having a happy week and the painting has gone well!
Helen xHelen Philippshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16085327303967055337noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1364970258186883429.post-21440414334684804282011-05-10T10:33:24.351+01:002011-05-10T10:33:24.351+01:00Thanks for your comments!
Tickety-Boo, I used two ...Thanks for your comments!
Tickety-Boo, I used two coats of satinwood paint for this chest, Crown "Cream White" non-drip satin (doesnt sound as alluring as a F & B colour does it!!!!!)but it dries quickly with a light sheen and as it takes about a half can its a cheaper makeover than using F & B - anyway its what i had in the house!
Squirrelhaus, I will do a tutorial very soon as they are many ways to transform furniture depending on the final look you want to achieve.
But if you are mad keen to get going, you can't go far wrong by just sanding, wiping, brush (wider brush will be quicker)on a few coats of emulsion (prob 3)allowing to dry in between, a light sand all over to get smooth finish, harder sanding in areas you want to "age", then antique wax or clear varnish to protect.gillyflowerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02410673843788487544noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1364970258186883429.post-41238802911797965212011-05-10T09:31:34.894+01:002011-05-10T09:31:34.894+01:00I love this transformation!!!
